Setting the standards for scenario-based ADAS/AD testing, design and editing
An accurate technical description of ADAS and automated driving (AD) test scenarios is crucial for efficient test planning and optimal test coverage. Safety test scenarios defined by Euro NCAP or critical corner cases derived from the test drives must be converted to logical scenarios to be parametrized for virtual and physical testing environments.
AVL has created the ASAM OpenSCENARIO compatible Scenario Designer tool to help users achieve compliance with existing and future testing standards. In this free, 60-minute webinar, AVL’s Josko Balic and Mirko Bulaja discuss the challenges of standardized scenario-based ADAS/AD testing and how specialized tools can help users design, edit, verify and parametrize testing scenarios.
Key topics and takeaways:
- ASAM OpenSCENARIO 1.0 is a widely accepted industry standard for scenario description
- AVL Scenario Designer is the first tool fully supporting OSc 1.0 features for scenario creation, import, graphical editing and export
- Advanced features such as scenario player, optimal route finder, and DoE significantly reduce scenario creation time and effort
- The tool follows the development of the standard towards OpenSCENARIO 1.x and 2.0
